We all know the way the world works. Jesus describes it in Luke 16:1-8a (Father Jeff recommends we end the reading at the semi-colon; after the first half of verse 8.)  Eduardo Galeano tells of how today’s world works in a passage from his book Children of the Days shared in the sermon by Father Jeff. Weaving these stories with our story, Father Jeff points out that:

“…[R]ight now, today, regardless of what Wall Street does, regardless of what the big wigs decided to do. We can live, you and me, in the light of the agenda of God…you and me, we, can make a difference.”
